The Pyramid® and Presponse® vaccine families protect cattle from respiratory disease by providing broad coverage against the primary viruses and bacteria that contribute to bovine respiratory disease complex.

PYRAMID + PRESPONSE SQ VACCINE

  1. The first calf vaccine labeled to protect against BVDV Type 1b

  • Protects against BVDV Types 1a, 1b and 2, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), parainfluenza 3 (PI₃), bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) and Mannheimia haemolytica

PYRAMID VACCINE

The PYRAMID family of vaccines offers options of convenient coverage in combinations including bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) Types 1 and 2, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), parainfluenza 3 (PI3) and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV).

  • The addition of the unique METASTIM adjuvant helps stimulate a strong immune response, even in the face of maternal antibodies. It boosts the immune system's response by extending the time the immune system is exposed to vaccine antigens. 

  • Vaccines are available in a variety of different combinations, including five-way lepto or Lepto pomona-hardjo.

  • Most products in the PYRAMID family contain the Singer BVDV Type 1 and the 5912 BVDV Type 2 strains, which were specifically selected to offer broad antigen/antibody response.

PRESPONSE SQ VACCINE

  • This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle 3 months of age or older against Mannheimia haemolytica.

  • Contains a leukotoxoid to help protect tender calf lungs from the damaging effects of leukotoxins.

 

PRESPONSE HM VACCINE

  • This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle 7 months of age or older against pneumonic pasteurellosis due to Pasteurella multocida, and against respiratory disease due to Mannheimia haemolytica.

WHEN TO VACCINATE: BUILDING DEFENSES BEFORE STRESS EVENTS

Immunity begins with feeding colostrum, but it doesn’t last forever. Work with your veterinarian to build your vaccine protocol.

We generally recommend vaccinating with PYRAMID + PRESPONSE SQ at:

 

  • Beef - branding or turnout age, preweaning, weaning or stocker/feedlot arrival.
  • Dairy - four weeks and older

  • Store out of direct sunlight at 35–46°F (2–8°C); Do not freeze.

  • Do not mix with other products, except as specified on product label.

  • Use entire contents when first opened.

  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

  • A small percentage of animals may show transient mild injection site swelling.

  • In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine.

  • See individual product labels for details regarding use in pregnant cows or calves nursing pregnant cows.

BOVINE RESPIRATORY SYNCYTIAL VIRUS

  • Can invade the lower lungs and cause severe pneumonia

M. Haemolytica

MANNHEIMIA HAEMOLYTICA

  • Produces a leukotoxin, which can kill white blood cells and severely damage the lungs
  • Flares when stress events and/or viruses weaken the immune system and can double in quantity every 27 minutes4

LEUKOTOXOIDS — THEIR ARCH ENEMY, YOUR SECRET WEAPON

  • The PRESPONSE SQ vaccine contains both bacterial surface antigens and leukotoxoids
