Ingelvac CircoFLEX®

Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV2)

Details

Ingelvac CircoFLEX® was the first in the FLEX Family of swine vaccines and one of the most revolutionary PCV2 vaccines on the market. As a result, it has built a reputation for providing safe, effective control of porcine circovirus-associated disease (PCVAD) in pigs 3 weeks of age or older from a single dose.

Effectively Diagnosing PCVAD
The American Association of Swine Veterinarians has adopted the following criteria for confirming a diagnosis of PCVAD:

  • Clinical signs

Progressive weight loss, porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS), pneumonia, diarrhea and/or reproductive disease.

  • Increased mortality rates

Doubling of historical death loss due to acute disease infection.

  • Histologic lesions

Lymphoid depletion with or without granulomatous inflammation.

  • Diagnostic results

PCV2 detection in lesions via PCV2 immunohistochemistry (IHC) when associated with characteristic lung lesions or in fetal myocarditis lesions in reproductive PCVAD.

Features & Benefits

  • Purified with DiaTEC
A patented diafiltration process that removes residual baculovirus proteins and cell debris from the virus-like particles (VLPs), resulting in the highly immunogenic and non-virucidal Ingelvac CircoFLEX® vaccine.

  • Timing of vaccination
Single-dose, 1-mL vaccine approved for pigs 3 weeks of age and older.

  • Long duration of immunity
INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX provides at least four months of immunity, long enough to last through the critical grow-finish stage.

  • Rapid onset of immunity
Unlike two-dose products, it provides effective immune response within two weeks after single-dose vaccination.

  • Excellent safety profile
Because it contains both DiaTEC and ImpranFLEX®, INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX provides a strong immune response with low risk of injection-site lesions or other adverse reactions in pigs.

  • PQA Plus® and labor-saving benefits
Single-dose administration reduces pig handling and stress by reducing labor and number of injections.

  • First registered vaccine approved to protect sows against PCV2-associated disease
PCV2 vaccine that can be used during all stages of gestation and lactation.
Dosage & Administration

Single-dose, 1-mL vaccine approved for pigs 3 weeks of age or older.

  • In Trials 1 and 2, Ingelvac CircoFLEX® was as safe as saline as measured by injection-site lesions. The competitor vaccines induced a significantly greater amount of injection-site lesions compared to INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX.

ImpranFLEX® Adjuvant

IMPRANFLEX is a proprietary water-based, sponge-like matrix adjuvant found in all FLEX Family vaccines that offers the following advantages:

  • Does not contain and is not derived from any material of plant or animal origin
  • 100 percent oil free
  • Low viscosity and good syringeability
  • Very safe for farm staff and animals
  • Less stressful for the animals

DiaTEC and IMPRANFLEX – the Perfect Combination

These two innovative vaccine technologies work together to offer the following advantages:

  •  Strong efficacy for full cellular protection

  • Unmatched safety for sows and piglets

  • Rapid onset and long-lasting immunity

  • Depot effect

  • High FLEXibility by being mixable with other antigens (i.e.,  3FLEX® , FLEX CircoPRRS® )

INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX® with DiaTEC Gives Producers Greater Versatility

Thanks to a state-of-the-art purification process from Boehringer Ingelheim called DiaTEC, INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX vaccine is now non-virucidal4, greatly enhancing the versatility of the vaccine while maintaining the high level of disease protection producers and veterinarians have come to expect from the product.
